While the full-blown luxury of the LS is what originally turned customers towards Lexus back in the ‘80s, it’s been the front-wheel drive ES that’s been the perpetual best seller. The latest version is powered by a 272-hp 3.5-litre V6 with a six-speed automatic. Based on the same platform as the Toyota Camry, the ES 350 goes for comfort above all, with no hint of sporting intentions whatsoever. With the two-tonnes of sound deadening and the Mark Levinson audio system, you’ll be completely isolated from the frustrations of the day.

Pros

A sensory deprivation tank on wheels

Cons

Not exciting at all
