Kia’s least-expensive entry, the Rio sedan, sees some changes for 2010. While they essentially amount to a facelift, the revised headlights, grille and bumpers better reflect the company’s new style on one of its older entries. Mechanically, nothing has changed, so that means it’s powered by a 110-hp 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Standard USB/Aux-in is attractive features for the younger generation.

Pros

Fuel efficient, better looking

Cons

Very basic
