This is the Grand Cherokee’s final year before a serious redesign next year. For 2010, the excellent turbo-diesel engine is no longer available, leaving only the 210-hp 3.7-litre V6 and 357-hp 5.7-litre HEMI V8 to motivate the five-seat Jeep. Various off-road packages and convenience packages turn the GC from basic to luxurious. The SRT8 version uses a 425-hp 6.2-litre V8 and all-wheel drive to turn the Jeep into a regular rocket. Fuel mileage is miserable in all forms.
