The two-door Koup version is even more dramatic a change than the regular Forte sedan, but under the skin, the two are nearly identical. Power comes from either a 156-hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder or a 173-hp 2.4-litre version. The SX version is aimed at corner-carvers thanks to its tight handling, sticky tires and good brakes. The interior is similar to the Forte sedan, but the rear seat is obviously more cramped.

Pros

Good value, dramatic styling

Cons

Buzzy, unenthusiastic engines
