The current LR2 is such an improvement over the old Freelander that there should be no comparison. Power comes from a Volvo-sourced 230-hp 3.2-litre inline six cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Despite its soft-roader image, the LR2 is quite capable off-road thanks to Land Rover’s Terrain Response system and Hill Descent Control. Interior is luxurious, with good room for five people.
