The GMC Acadia was one of the earlier seven-seat crossover models General Motors introduced a couple years back, so it doesn’t change much for 2010. Power still comes from a 288-hp 3.6-litre V6 with a six-speed automatic to either the front or all four wheels. Carrying capacity is huge thanks to a large cabin, but the high shoulder line means it’s darker than other offerings. Eight seats are available, and rear row is usable by real people.

Why not just buy the Chevrolet version?
