In the compact truck arena, the players haven’t seen a shakeup in quite some time. For 2010 the GMC Canyon remains one of the only models to offer optional V8 power, in this case a 300-hp 5.3-litre version. Base engines remain the 185-hp 2.9-litre four-cylinder, while the optional 3.7-litre inline-five produces 242 horsepower. Available in regular, extended and crew cab with a choice of bed lengths, the Canyon offers sharp styling and a solid work ethic.
