It’s a quiet year for Cadillac’s big rear-driver, with not many upgrades for 2010. The biggest news is the loss of the STS-V model in favour of a simplified two-engine offering. The 302-hp 3.6-litre V6 is available with either rear- or all-wheel drive, while 320-hp 4.6-litre Northstar V8 models are AWD only. The STS is 0well-equipped for the segment, with excellent voice-activated radio and HVAC controls, but the interior is dated and not as impressive as the newer CTS.

Pros

Good styling, strong V6

Cons

Hyundai Genesis 4.6 V8 is $20K less
