Cadillac’s best shot at hitting the Germans where it counts is with its mid-sized CTS. The styling is unabashedly Cadillac, and is much more dramatic than most of its rivals. Inside, GM went all out to ensure the style, features and materials were more than competitive. Underhood, there’s a choice of either a 270-hp 3.0-litre direct-injection V6, or a 304-hp 3.6-litre V6. The base model comes with a six-speed manual, but a six-speed automatic is optional – and standard on the 3.6. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is optional on both engines.
