In contrast to the razor-sharp LaCrosse, the Lucerne is a hangover from the era of forgettable Buicks. The front-wheel drive softie still uses a 227-hp 3.9-litre V6 in the CX and CXL, while the Super keeps its 292-hp 4.6-litre Northstar V8. All models get a four-speed automatic. Ride is cushy, driving experience completely forgettable. Inside, the mood is solely focused on isolation, both from the road and other extraneous stresses.
