Chevrolet’s Cobalt continues into 2010 with few changes. It’s still a competitive four-door sedan with a fuel-efficient 155-hp 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine, and either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. The Cobalt is unassuming, if a little bland, with no pretensions of sporty ability. The XFE package adds low-rolling resistance tires and higher gear ratios to eke a few more MPG out of the already efficient package. Interior is basic, but relatively well built.

Pros

XFE a smart way to save fuel

Cons

No sporting ability
