The Aveo5 hatchback is Chevrolet’s least expensive vehicle, and sells mainly on its low price tag, relatively good fuel economy and utility. The 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine is rough, and only produces 108 horsepower. Transmissions are either a five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic. Entry-level models are very basic, however the Aveo does score five starts in government crash tests. New for 2010 is a Team Canada edition that adds a sporty body kit, leather-wrapped steering wheel and upgraded stereo.
