The mid-sized Dodge Avenger loses is a forgotten player in a tight market. Compared to its Japanese and Korean rivals, it struggles to remain relevant. Base models are powered by a 173-hp 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine, while upscale RT versions use a 235-hp 3.5-litre V6. Neat features include the Chillzone in-dash drink cooler and a 30GB Musicbox audio system.  Interior design is average, but cabin materials are cheap.
