The F-150 received its big redesign last year, so cruises into 2010 still smelling fresh. It’s Ford’s most popular vehicle, and comes in a wide array of cabs (regular, Super, SuperCrew), bed lengths, engines (292-hp 4.6-litre V8, 320-hp 5.4-litre V8) and transmissions (four- or six-speed automatics), with rear- or four-wheel drive. Interior isn’t as special as the Dodge Ram’s, but features cubbies and storage points everywhere. Platinum edition adds all the luxury of the departed Lincoln Mark LT. Feels bombproof.

Pros

Ford’s best-seller for a reason
