Audi’s new compact five-seat SUV offering shares a good portion of its mechanicals with the excellent Volkswagen Tiguan. However, the Q5 only offers the 3.2-litre FSI V6 with 260 hp and Quattro all-wheel drive. As with most Audis, the Q5 can be ordered with plenty of options including a Bang & Olufsen audio system, magnetic ride control and a panoramic moonroof. Compared to its rivals, the Q5 is the driver’s choice, offering enthusiastic handling, a good ride and great brakes. But you’ll never see one farther off-road than the local tree lot. The interior is a peach too.
