The FJ Cruiser remains Toyota’s most off-road focused model, taking aim at the Jeep Wrangler and Nissan Xterra for rough-and-tumble honours. Power comes from a 259-hp 4.0-litre V6 with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. There are two different four-wheel drive systems depending on which transmission you choose. There are also additional Off Road and Adventure packages that not only make the FJ the envy of Moab, but also make it look pretty hip too. Interior is large enough for five, but there are huge blindspots because of the large roof pillars and tailgate-mounted spare tire.
