Volvo’s flagship S80 sedan is where you’ll find all the other safety technologies that eventually filter down to the rest of the lineup. Things like a blind spot information system, a side-impact protection system and collision warning with auto brake are all things that debuted on the S80. Currently, you can get one with a 235-hp 3.2-litre six-cylinder, a 281-hp turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder, or a 311-hp 4.4-litre V8. Front-wheel drive is standard on the base model, while the rest are all-wheel drive. The S80’s cabin is modern, and very Swedish in its design.
