The gorgeous C70 convertible is only a couple years old, and isn’t due any changes for a while yet. For 2010, its 227-hp 2.5-litre uses either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic to send power to the front wheels. The three-piece folding metal hardtop takes about 30 seconds to stow or put back up, and the car doesn’t lose much rigidity when it’s away in the trunk. Rear seats are present, but for small kid use only. As on all Volvos, safety is the first priority, and the C30 comes loaded to the gills with all the latest technology.

Pros

Turbo engine, excellent handling
