The 3 Series Touring – which is ‘wagon’ in BMW speak – offers a great combination of style and utility, without having to resort to getting a more expensive and compromised SUV. Available in only one version, the 328i xDrive Touring offers 230 horsepower, a choice of either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. Responses are excellent, although you wish for some more power when lugging large loads. Interior shared with other 3 Series is functional and clean, but a little boring. Revised iDrive worth considering.

Pros

Great load-lugger

Cons

335d version would be perfect
