The 2010 Subaru Legacy is a complete redesign and answers many of the previous model’s complaints. The new model is longer, wider and has a bigger wheelbase to increase cabin space, especially in the rear seats. The design is similar to many current mid-sized models, but the Legacy carries itself well. Inside, the materials and overall design are very competitive. Power comes from a 170-hp 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer, a 256-hp 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer, and a 265-hp turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer. The popular PZEV (Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) version is still available, as is a new optional CVT transmission on entry-level versions.
