The Impreza WRX is a bargain performance find because it leaves more expensive material watching its taillights. The 265-hp turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer engine is mated to a five-speed manual and Subaru’s all-wheel drive system. Visually, the WRX gets bigger wheels, a hood scoop, a rear spoiler and a more aggressive body kit. Inside, more supportive seats highlight the already comfortable interior. The five-door hatchback model provides good cargo hauling capabilities.

Pros

Good fun to dollar ratio

Cons

Fuel mileage, styling
