Performance that shames other sedans

There has rarely been a car that’s been so plagued by ill-will as the new 2010 Porsche Panamera, the company’s first attempt at a four-door – other than the Cayenne, of course. Panamera uses the SUV’s engines, though. The 400-hp 4.8-litre V8 and 500-hp twin-turbo version power the relatively light sedan to ridiculous speeds, on the road and at the track. A seven-speed PDK gearbox is standard, and all-wheel drive is featured in the 4S and Turbo. Cabin is the best equipped of any Porsche, and uses materials rarely used before. All four passengers get their own ‘pod’ and are treated to all the modern luxuries you’d expect.
