Panache, class

The Gran Turismo machines of the ‘60s and ‘70s serve as inspiration for the AMG-tuned CL models: luxury, room for four in a stylish two-door body, and effortless performance. The athletic CL63 uses a 518-hp 6.2-litre V8 and seven-speed automatic, while the drag-stip destroying CL65 AMG uses a ridiculous 603-hp twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 with a five-speed automatic. Either one melts its rear tires at will. Obviously, it’s difficult to alter the path of two tonnes worth of German steel. Interior features every toy in the book, and air-bladder seats to keep you pinned in place.
