The mid-sized Mitsubishi Galant has largely been ignored in this highly competitive segment. Power comes from a 160-hp 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine (ES), a 230-hp 3.8-litre V6 (GT) and a 258-hp 3.8-litre V6 (Ralliart). The ES gets a four-speed automatic transmission, while the rest use a five-speed auto. Performance is average, but the ride and handling aren’t very refined. Inside, the design is generic, and uses inferior materials. A replacement can’t come soon enough.

Pros

Ralliart adds visual character

Cons

Unrefined driving dynamics
