Mercedes-Benz has a history of hot-rod limousines dating back to the old 600 Pullman of the ‘60s. So AMG-fettled S-Class models make plenty of sense. The athletic S63 uses a 518-hp 6.2-litre V8 and seven-speed automatic, while the drag-stip destroying S65 AMG uses a ridiculous 603-hp twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 with a five-speed automatic. Either one melts its rear tires at will, and attempt to hustle around corners too. Obviously, it’s difficult to alter the path of two tonnes worth of executive sedan. Interior features every toy in the book, and air-bladder seats to keep you pinned in place.

Pros

Ridiculously fast

Cons

Ridiculously priced
