Mazda’s excellent RX-8 sportscar received its own updates last year, so 2010 won’t hold any surprises. The hardcore R3 model offers Bilstein suspension pieces, additional body addenda and some aggressive wheels to deliver a handling package matched by few cars at any price. Unfortunately, it doesn’t add any power to the 232-hp 1.3-litre rotary engine. The GT package is more cruiser, with more subtle styling, and a softer ride. RX-8 is a genuine four-seater thanks to its pair of suicide doors.
