The latest version of the Mazda6 is simply a sedan – no hatchback or wagon variants – and goes into 2010 with few changes. Power comes from a 170-hp 2.5-litre four-cylinder or a 272-hp 3.7-litre V6. The former comes with a six-speed manual-transmission standard, but six-speed autos are standard in the latter. GS models are more basic, while the GT adds a body kit, bigger wheels, a retuned suspension, and leather seats. Cabin is much bigger than before thanks to a big size increase.

Pros

Sporty handling, great power

Cons

Too big
