Talk about a case of poor timing. Kia’s seven-seat full-size Borrego SUV was launched in the middle of the economic recession and $1.50/L fuel prices. Which is a shame as the Borrego is as good as any of the North American or Japanese competitors. It comes with either a 276-hp 3.8-litre V6, or a 337-hp 4.6-litre V8, with a five- or six-speed automatic and part- or full-time four-wheel drive. The only major complaint is the rough ride and iffy fuel economy. Interior is well designed and comfortable.
